1911-ben épült az akkor forradalminak számító vasbeton-technológiával, Zielinszky Szilárd tervei szerint.
Water Tower, Margaret Island Budapest
The water tower was built in 1913 with the then revolutionary technology of reinforced concrete. It is an industrial heritage building in the secession style.
The water tower was retired decades ago and the reservoir removed. Today it is rented out as a lookout tower and an exhibition venue. The tower extends 57 metres above ground and another 5 metres below; the viewing level is at 53 metres.
Also industrial heritage sites are the 30 metre long horizontal wells on the bank of Margaret Island which stretch out towards the Danube to collect a natural treasure: clean and healthy drinking water.
